About the Service

Charge Settlement is the process when a business must notify the Registrar in writing, using e-form CHG-4, of the payment or satisfaction in full of any fee reported under this Chapter within 30 days of the payment or satisfaction.



Documents required

-        1. Letter of the charge holder stating that the amount has been satisfied

-        2. Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) of director of the company and authorised signatory of the bank
and UComply shall file Form CHG-4 in which DSC of director and bank needs to be affixed by the client



Timeline of service

The form needs to be filed within 30 days from the date of such settlement.

FAQs

   1. Why is filing Charge Settlement important?

If the charge fulfilment is not filed within 300 days, the company's only choice is to file a compounding application with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' Regional Director or some other office as MCA may authorise in due course. Also, the charge would be displayed on ROC website, till the form is filed to remove the same.
