MSME stands for micro, small, and medium enterprises. The main criteria for Udyam registration are fully divided into three main aspects. Enterprise type, annual turnover, and investment decide whether the MSME is eligible for the benefits of Udyam registration or not. Udyam registration is a general certification that allows micro, small, and medium enterprises to register themselves with the government. This registration provides the MSME with a commendation certificate and a unique identity number.

1. What is the criteria for MSME Registration?
MSMEs must be either micro, small, or medium enterprises
● Micro enterprises with up to 5 crores of turnover are eligible for registration and its benefits. Similarly, small enterprises with turnover in the range of ₹ 5 to ₹ 75 crores and medium enterprises up to 250 crores annual turnover are eligible
● Investment, too, is a criterion. Micro-enterprises must not have an investment of more than ₹ 1 crore to be eligible for the benefits of Udyam registration. Small enterprises must not exceed ₹10 crores, and medium enterprises ₹ 50 crores in investments.
